His book tells the story of Alexander McClean, the sailor who was the inspiration for a ruthless character in Jack London’s The Sea Wolf. Following the release of London’s book, arrest warrants were issued for McLean in the U.S., Canada, Japan and Russia, giving McLean a motive for seeking revenge on London.
