I wish to remain at home. What actions should I take?

Planning can be challenging, as one cannot predict how needs may evolve over time. The initial step is to consider the types of assistance you may require in the future. For instance, if you live alone, there may be no one in your household to provide support. Alternatively, you might not need assistance at this moment, but you could be residing with a spouse or family member who does. Each individual’s circumstances are unique.

The Barnstable Council on Aging Caregiver/ Support Services Coordinator will be available at CPL to assist with resources for our caregivers and Barnstable citizens’ age 60+. The Caregiver /Support Services will provide resources and educational programs that benefit our residents and the people we care for.
