Bid on a gift for Mother’s Day / Día de las Madres!

We have three themed gift baskets to bid on:

Local Author Talk with Barbara Eppich Struna: "The Old Cape Map"

We are excited to host local author, Barbara Eppich Struna, for an author talk!

She will be discussing her newest book, The Old Cape Map.

"There is treasure in Brewster on Cape Cod! Will Nancy Caldwell and her niece Jane find it? Or is Max Appleton desperate enough to risk everything and uncover the riches first?"

Adult Crafting Workshop

Second Friday of the Month at 11:00 a.m. (IN-PERSON)


Join Becky at the Centerville Public Library and create alongside fellow craft-loving adults on the second Friday of each month at 11:00 a.m.

Zumba with Rick

CPL is hosting Zumba with Rick on the second and fourth Mondays every month!

This event will be held in the Lower Level Community Rooms.

Yoga at CPL

Friday, May 17 from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. (HYBRID)

In collaboration with Yoga Neighborhood, CPL hosts a FREE Hatha yoga at CPL on the 1st and 3rd Friday of the month from 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. We welcome you to join us either in-person or via Zoom!

The instructor will lead class indoors in our community room. Don't forget your mat!  
(Donations to CPL to support this class are always welcome)

Local Author Talk with A. D. Metcalfe: "Street"

Monday, May 20 at 1:00 p.m. (IN-PERSON)

Join us in welcoming local author, A. D. Metcalfe for an author talk! She will be discussing her novel Street.

A. D. Metcalfe’s novel, Street, is gritty adult fiction, set in 1970s New York City. It is about a young runaway's determination to survive, and with the help of dealers, hustlers, and his ever-growing gang of street kids, he could become a venerable force amid the sordid city.

About the Author:
A.D. Metcalfe is a member of the Arts Foundation of Cape Cod, Grub Street, and sits on the Board of Directors for the Cape Cod Writers Center. She is also a host and co-producer for Books and the World, a literary interview program. Her debut novel, Street, the first in a three-part series, was released in December of 2023. Several of her short pieces have been published in various on-line and print magazines. Her children's picture book, Mousebound, was published under the pen name, Leslie Ann George. She was born and raised in New York City, where her experiences continue to inspire much of her writing.

Volunteers are invited to stop by to pick up trash grabber tools and other supplies before traveling to assigned cleanup areas.

Hosted by the newly formed Keep Barnstable Beautiful, a Local Chapter of Keep Massachusetts Beautiful, committed to Keeping Barnstable Beautiful “ONE VILLAGE AT A TIME”.
